Are your saved? This is not a question of how good you may be or if you are a church member. This is a question of are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die? God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be saved (John 3:7).
In the Bible God gives the plan of salvation. First, you must realize that you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. Romans 6:23 says,"For the wages of sin is death." This means eternal separation from God in Hell. Hebrews 9:27 says, "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."
However, God loved you and gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to bear your sin and die in your place. 2 Corinthian 5:21 says,"He hath made Him to be sin for us... that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." Romans 5:8 says, "...God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Christ became our substituted.
Acts 17:30 says, "God... commandeth all men everywhere to repent." This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner and also agrees with what Christ died for us on the cross. This repentance is a change of life that turns from sin and forsakes it.
What must you do to be saved? The answer is simple. Romans 10:13 says, "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." This includes you. I hope you realize you are a sinner. Right now you can repent of your sins and believe that Christ died in your place, shed His blood as the payment for your sins, and has risen from the dead.
